At the end of the finishing cycle the fabric can be subjected to steam treatments which give it
the desired hand and, as far as possible, stabilize hand and size.
The steaming operation relaxes the internal tensions deriving from the type of fabric, weave and
of processes undergone, in order to reduce - even if not eliminate - the first cause of instability
dimensional.
For some fabrics - such as velor, duvettine, etc. or straight-pile fabrics - steaming (possibly
on equalization) achieves the desired result and the finishing process ends.
For other fabrics, which require a more sustained hand and a different look, steaming is a
intermediate stabilization step.
The fabric passes, in succession, through:
a tensioner (see figure A, point 1),
a fabric centering device (fig. A, 2) e
on an adjustment cylinder (fig. A, 4) and a compensation cylinder (fig. A, 5).
A humidity meter (fig. A, 6) determines the quantity of steam required for the treatment
optimal fabric.
The piece passes over a feeding cylinder (fig. A, 7) assisted by a sensor (fig. A, 8),
it arrives supercharged on the vaporization network (fig. A, 3),
where a steam delivery field (fig. A, 9), placed under the net, vaporizes the fabric,
starting the re-entry both in the warp and in the weft.
Above the mesh there is a steam suction hood (fig. A, 10).
Therefore a vibrating device (fig. A, 11) helps the fabric to overcome the frictions that oppose it
shrinkage.
A blowing battery (fig. A, 12) and a subsequent suction battery (fig. A, 13) conclude the
process, permanently fixing the dimensional stability achieved with the treatment.
An unloading regulator (fig. A, 14) and a fabric unloading cylinder (fig. A, 15) carry the fabric
to the folding machine (fig. A, 16).
The operator, who is assisted in his work by a control panel for programming e
the monitoring of processing must:
present the folded or rolled pieces in the front part of the machine;
sew the piece to the drawing-in cloth or to the previous piece still in the machine
set the parameters such as: the amount of steam, the speed and the percentage of supercharging;
unstitch the piece, at the end of the path, starting the rolling or folding.
Small spots, caused by droplets of condensed vapor probably due to the
malfunctioning extractor hood.
Failure to achieve the required dimensional stability, caused by excessive speed
of the process, for which the fabric requires a second and slower passage.
After the sale of the machinery we also assist you in logistics and if desired by the customer we have technicians capable of reassembling and starting the machinery.
