Timetables

Working hours: 09.30 / 12.30 - 16.00/18.00 From Monday to Friday.

Purpose of processing

Sodading – adopted for raw cotton and mixed fabrics:
eliminates shells and other impurities sensitive to the action of the caustic soda solution;
carried out at 18/20 Be (Baumè degrees), it gives shine and a certain dimensional stability,
eliminating part of the dead (i.e. unripe) cotton fibres.
Bleaching causes a whitening of the raw fabric, also suitable for subsequent dyeing
in light colors.
Both treatments guarantee:
cleaning and bleaching of the cloth;
affinity of the fibers to the dye resulting from the treatment in soda;
saving of coloring materials based on better absorption.

Processing technology

The fabric is treated broadly.
The machine is made up of a series of adjacent tanks in which the fabric is desized and washed
and, subsequently, squeezed by two cylinders which have the purpose of removing the excess water.
The last tank contains a solution of caustic soda and wetting substances.
Two squeezing cylinders standardize the soldering process on the fabric, completing the first phase.
In the second phase, bleaching, the soda fabric passes:
in a tray containing diluted hydrogen peroxide;
in a steam chamber, with a sufficiently long path for the development of oxygen;
in a series of washing tanks continuously and against the current, alternating hot water
it's cold.
The fabric, clean and bleached, comes out of the machine, is rolled up and taken to the dryer.
Where there is a continuous drum dryer, the wet cloth comes instead of being rolled
passed directly into the dryer and only at the exit of this is it rolled up and made available
for subsequent dyeing and finishing operations.
Particular attention must be paid to the choice and dosage of the oxidizing products to be used,
in relation to the type of impurities present on the fabric to be treated.

Execution of the work

The employee must:
introduce the fabric into the first tubs, checking that it is always in a central position
and ensuring this position through the use of a centering device and an expander;
make sure that the fabric being worked has no creases.

Recurring defects

Uneven bonding between the center and selvage of the piece.
Difference in color between the head and tail of the piece in the case of subsequent dyeing, if
there is an excessive increase in concentration in the various washing tanks.

Services

After the sale of the machinery, we also assist you in logistics and, if desired by the customer, we have technicians capable of reassembling and starting up the machinery.
